Our Individualized Rehab Program
An individualized rehab program is designed by our staff of professionals with the client’s unique needs, goals, and characteristics in mind. While there are many commonalities found among substance abusers, no two will ever be the same. Contributing factors to addiction and alcoholism include family history, biology, past trauma, physical and mental health conditions, and any number of environmental and circumstantial variables.
Programs are developed using information gathered from a complete assessment during intake. Professionals works with clients to develop a plan that is conducive to his or her personal and unique situation.
Addiction does not exist in a vacuum – rather, it is caused by a number of factors that contribute to its onset and maintenance.
These causes must be identified for each individual, and his or her program designed to address these issues and set goals for recovery.
Individual Therapy Sessions
In individual therapy, clients engage one-on-one with a trained therapist in a non-judgmental and confidential environment.
During therapy, clients are encouraged to explore feelings, beliefs, and behaviors in order to better understand themselves. They will also be prompted to work through negative memories and deal with difficult experiences.
Mental Health Treatment
The majority of substance abusers also suffer from some form of mental illness. These may include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, and many others.
Mental health treatment is integrated with substance abuse treatment because of the underlying common factors shared between addiction and mental illness. Persons with mental illness often seek out substances in order to self-medicate, but this is rarely a remedy, and usually makes mental illness worse.
